Eddie Island

What started as a high school talent show from hours of self-taught bedroom guitar practice that led him to the bright lights of the American Idol stage, Eddie Island has been slowly surprising his listeners with what’s next for his budding career. Hailing from Fairfax, Virginia under the one-man moniker “Lindenbrook”, Eddie Island scrapped his way through small college-town shows with punchy folk ballads to being a part rideshare, part marketer, part songwriter in Nashville, Tennessee with the group “Paid Vacay” after meeting local guitarist Patrick Gleason. Dropping their debut EP “The Search for Rodney Calhoun” in 2017, Eddie Island garnered traction with their single “Black Cat” on Nashville’s own Lightning 100 radio station leading to several local music festival slots. Fast forward less than two years and Eddie Island quit his job and adopted the island lifestyle full time, riding the wave to American Idol’s Top 14 while showing the world there’s room for everyone on the island. As he gears up post his major studio album debut release “FOLKSTAR”, Eddie Island is trading in his previous life of Lyft rides and social media campaigns for a full gamut of spoken word, rap, and vivid guitar riffs. Listeners (visitors) on the island are invited to stumble upon the treasure chests of sound he’s curated while searching for love, meaning, and the unknown yet seemingly limitless future ahead.
