About Us

DSCVRD music is owned and run by Mike Poulson, a hugely experienced music professional who has worked in the industry for over three decades. 

He began his career at major labels like Mercury, Island, and Warner, where he gained invaluable experience in marketing, A&R, design, production, neighbouring rights, copyright and royalties. He’s also worked beyond the majors at independents like Talkin’ Loud, This Way Up, Independiente and FRTYFVE.

More recently he has worked in the world of music publishing and sync, including BMG, Hornall Brothers and Proper Music. 

This versatility has allowed him to see the music industry from all angles, understanding the artist journey from creation to distribution and every step inbetween.

Most recently he built FRTYFVE Songs from the ground up, nurturing and cultivating a dynamic publishing house securing a worldwide sub-publishing deal with the prestigious Warner Chappell Music. 

He also has vast experience in the world of sync including securing placements in adverts for Samsung, Uber, Marvel and Netflix and multiple TV placements including Sex Education (Netflix), Love Island (ITV), The Traitors (BBC), Shrinking (AppleTV), With Love (Prime), Selling Sunset (Netflix), Berlin (Netflix), Strictly Come Dancing (BBC)
