Making performing before millions look effortless, Eddie Island’s ascent from bedroom troubadour to American Idol alumnus is testament to a combination of soaring talent and hard work. After high school, he relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where he formed the group Paid Vacay with local guitarist Patrick Gleeson, quickly securing local radio play and an array of festival bookings. However, it was his appearance in season 17 of American Idol that truly catapulted the singer-songwriter to another level of stardom.
